A properly drafted Will and Last Testament is the cornerstone of any estate and ensures that your loved ones are taken care of and ensures that your wishes are carried out. The dedicated directors and experts at Definity Lifestyle have a wealth of experience and is available to provide you with the necessary guidance on planning your estate and drafting your Will and Last Testament.

In our environment, You choose the Executor of your estate, not a random employee of a financial business unit. We recommend that a close family member, a close family friend or alternatively one of the Definity Legacy directors acts as your Executor to fulfil your exact wishes. In addition to having a Will and Last Testament in place, it’s also important to ensure there is liquidity in your estate so that your wishes can be carried out.

There are several drawbacks to passing away without making your wishes clear. Your assets will be distributed among your surviving blood relatives in terms of legislation, and this may not be what you want.

Certain financial institutions offer this as a blanket service with a blanket document, but they do not have the interest nor knowledge of the real and specific wishes of their clients. They may claim up to 3.75% and sell off assets at any cost to “wind up an estate”. Discarding your assets at any cost, under a blanket Will and Last Testament, is their motive, and should be avoided.
